About
Hello, I'm Joanna.
I'm a Forest Bathing Guide, qualified with Light Box, offering gentle, nature-based experiences that help people slow down, reconnect with themselves and deepen their relationship with the natural world.
Nature has always been where I feel most at home. As a child, I loved climbing trees, building dens and spending hours outdoors. Later, after years of city living, I realised just how much I relied on nature for calm, clarity and balance. Reconnecting with green spaces became an essential part of my own wellbeing and inspired me to share that experience with others.
Today, I guide forest bathing sessions for individuals, community groups and organisations across Halton and the surrounding area. I also facilitate regular sessions for volunteers at the Wonky Garden and in partnership with a local cancer centre, creating welcoming spaces where people can pause, breathe and experience the restorative power of nature.
Alongside my work in nature, I have a background as an artist. Creativity has always been another way for me to connect with the natural world, noticing its colours, textures, patterns and changing seasons. This creative perspective is gently woven into my practice, encouraging curiosity, mindful observation and a deeper appreciation of the beauty that surrounds us. Through forest bathing and occasional eco-art workshops, I invite others to experience nature with both open senses and a creative eye.
My approach is inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku (forest bathing). Through gentle sensory invitations and mindful presence, I invite people to slow down, awaken their senses and reconnect with the natural world.
At the heart of my work is a simple belief: healing doesn't need to be complicated. By treading lightly on the Earth and reconnecting with nature, we can also reconnect with ourselves.
